Who is KianTheFounder?

A developer with utmost enthusiasm and respect in computer science. I started from learning English as a second language, to teaching it to other people. I conitnued to work in companies with international communication services.

I got interested in designing websites in CMSs, like WordPress, while learning Python programming. And to make deeper sense of what I'm learning, I changed all my devices' operating system from Windows to Linux.

I initially learned everything through reading books and practices both in programming languages and Linux operating system. Books like "Linux for Hackers," "Automate Boring Stuff with Python," "Python Crash Course," and "Blackhat Python" were part of the collection of books that I read and did my practices with initially for being a rookie in this industry with some foundational raw data (no disrespect to the authors of these books).

But later on, documentations and manuals were the unbilical cord between my skills and the community.

During the time of paying my dues for being a beginner/junior programmer, I had the opportunity to work on several projects, in most of which, me and my team were forced to rely on AI for developing and not doing it ourselves. But I was too much in love with learning about software engineering to let go of my attempts of doing things manually and learning them foundationally.

Thankfully, I was the only one in the entire company that knew how to work with Linux operating system; so, instead of pushing back the forces of relying on AI, I started developing tools on our Linux servers manually.

From developing simple CI/CD tools with the combination of Bash and JavaScript, to developing multiple security-focused testing units, using Bash and Python, I was able to have deeper-scooped taste of the computer-science ice-cream batch - if at all, it makes sense what I said; haha.

After getting out of that team, I decided to cope with my country's situation; Sanctions, war, internet disconnection, power outages per day, censorship, and other sorts of social and economic discomfort.

My coping mechanism has always been to put more pressure on myself and to try harder. So, I started to gather all the computer hardware I had, pay for some domains, setup a reliable network, configure my operating system, and put some money aside to purchase an Uninterrupted Power Supply to keep the server running 24/7. All of which to start and to host the KTFLabs project.

How I Came Up with This Name

Back to where me and my friends were around 16 years old and tried to come up with idea to make money, I was the one that usually came up with names for website, usernames, and company names.

So, I came up with a name for myself as a joke that meant "the person who finds and establishes companies and company names." This is how the name KianTheFounder was born. And to be honest, there was no other names like this back then; so, I stuck with it.

About KTFLabs

The Idea Behind This Project

Since I have started learning about software engineering and programming, I have been documenting my steps, projects, and progress in a notebook as a programing journal.

Everything I have built, learned, and been part of, are all documented inside this journal (with as little procrastination as possible).

Journaling progress by hand in a notebook has been the motivational tool to keep me on my track, while I'm learning to document better, every day.

But journaling has become too much work, because the amount of things that I learn per day have exceeded my ability to keep up in my documentation (or journaling). And to be honest, it hasn't been fun after that; so much so, that I needed a better way to have the things I learn documented, organized and accessible enough for me to go through iteratively, on demand, while being representable to others too.

So, with heavy amount of dopamine seeking, two cups of laziness, one truck-load of engineering enthusiasm, and three pinches of "let's build something as simple as possible from the ground up," KTFLabs was born.

Why This Project is Useful for You

There are many ways this project may become useful for others than me. Looking at it as a "book of journey" of a felow software engineer may motivate you to become a developer yourself.

You may find some tools here that may become useful for your work or even for your personal software project. Maybe I developed something here that I were not able to fine-tune as well as you could that can be counted as a chance for you to expand it for yourself.

Some times, people in teams are working on a software, and they are looking for someone that has the ability to help them build or expand their project further; I will have loved this website to be the portal where they can find me to join them.

If I were to approach a team, regarding collaboration or recruitment, they will be able to find out about me and my developing background through this website (win/win for both sides).

Why This Project is Useful for Me

First and foremost, there's nothing better in the world than having built something from scratch, growing along with its scale, and getting to learn deeply about many of its challenges. For me that an advantage here.

As a motivational tool that keeps track of my progress, KTFLabs is the personal project that I needed all along. It ignites the sense of commitment and consistency, while keeping my excitement high to this project the way I want it to be.

Sharing technical insights and educational content on the internet, puts a certain pressure on a person with some noticeable responsibility on top of it. Making sure the content is well-articulated, the website itself being designed intently, intuitive developing skills, and the correctness of the content itself are all part of the said pressure. The punchline is that I thrive on this pressure.
